Typically 3–5 years for a well-sized system in Victoria, against a 25-year panel lifespan. Add a battery under the current rebate and combined paybacks are hitting similar territory. Your quote includes payback modelling from your actual bill, not generic assumptions.

If you own your property, pair the battery with new or existing solar, choose an approved battery between 5kWh and 100kWh, and use an accredited installer — you almost certainly qualify. We confirm eligibility as the first step of every battery quote.

Yes. The federal battery discount, the STC solar discount and the Solar Victoria panel rebate (for eligible owner-occupiers) can all apply to one project. We apply the full stack to your quote automatically.

Most residential solar installs are completed in one day; solar + battery typically one to two. From signed quote to switch-on is usually 2–4 weeks, driven mainly by your electricity distributor’s approval times.

For most of the day, no — but we need access at the start for a walkthrough and at the end for commissioning, safety checks and a handover of your monitoring app.

Three layers: 25-year performance warranties on panels, 5–10 year manufacturer warranties on inverters and batteries, and AHM Solar’s own written workmanship warranty of at least 5 years. All documented and delivered with your compliance certificates.

Never more than 10%. The balance is only due after your system is installed and working. You also get a 10-business-day cooling-off period with a full deposit refund.

Standard grid-connected solar shuts off in a blackout for safety. If backup power matters to you, we’ll spec a battery system with backup circuits — Alpha ESS and Sungrow are particularly strong here.

Usually yes — modern panels and optimised inverter design handle partial shading and east-west splits far better than systems from even five years ago. We model your specific roof before quoting, so you’ll know the real numbers.
